Acne can effect any age group because it develops when excess sebum (an oil that the body produces naturally to moisturize the skin), skin cells and bacteria accumulate inside the facial pores. Here are a few tips to help combat acne once again.1. Check Labels
By switching your makeup to oil-free and noncomedogenic brands and minimizing the number of products you use, can help reduce future breakouts. Also, your hair is in contact with your face all through out the day, so be aware that those products (conditioners, gels, pomades, sprays) also can clog pores and further irritate acne.
2. Rinse Off
Immediately after working off, it's important to shower or rinse off the perspiration. If a quick shower isn't possible, change out of the sweaty clothes because spending any more time in them, especially tight-fitting active wear, is a breakout waiting to happen.
3. Hands Off
Your hands touch so many different bacterias throughout the day, why would you want that on your face? Of course, picking, squeezing and popping acne is always a big no-no and should be avoided to prevent further inflammation and scarring.
4. Don't Stress Out
When you're under stress, your body reacts with producing more stress hormones which can stimulate the glands to produce more oil. More oil leads to more acne. It will be very beneficial to not only your acne, but your overall well being if you're able to reduce the stress in your life.
5. Don't over wash
Many believe that acne occurs because of poor hygiene, but that's simply not true. It's a combination of several factors and washing with a harsh soap or scrubbing at the acne will only make things worse. By using a gentle face wash twice a day, you'll see better results.
Because many adults believe that acne is only for teenagers, they don't seek help. In most cases, adult acne can be controlled with different therapies and now there are several natural acne skin care products available, too.
